Webhooks send selected alerts to a team channel or your own service. Add a destination, then attach it to a notification rule.

Add and select a destination

  1. In Notifications → Delivery destinations, add a webhook.
  2. Choose a platform and enter a name and the complete HTTPS URL. Open the form’s Setup guide if you need help finding it.
  3. Enter signing information required by the platform and save the destination.
  4. Open an alert type, select this destination, enable the rule, and select Save changes.
Saving a destination does not subscribe it to every event. You can add multiple destinations and choose different recipients for each rule.

Platforms and authentication

After switching platforms, check the URL and signing information again. A saved secret belongs to the platform it was saved for. A masked value indicates a stored secret; do not copy the mask as the secret itself. Webhook URLs may contain credentials. Keep them out of public documents, screenshots, and frontend code.

Verify delivery

Follow the platform guide in the form and confirm arrival in the destination channel or service logs. URL validation and a successful save do not, by themselves, confirm delivery. For a custom service, verify signatures and deduplicate by delivery ID. Use the request format in the form’s guide and examples.

Pause, remove, and troubleshoot

Pause a destination to stop sending to its address. Before removing it, check which rules use it and leave those rules with a valid delivery method. If messages do not arrive, check that the rule and destination are enabled and saved, the rule selects that destination, the event matches its conditions, the URL and secret are correct, and the bot still has access to the channel. Notification webhooks deliver alerts. For task completion callbacks, see asynchronous tasks. For request traces, see Broadcast. Last updated: 2026-10-13
